Day 7 – Echoing hope
“And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.”
Luke 2:38
This part of the verse bears repeating, “And she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.”
This is a beautiful picture of the echoes of hope. The hope that Anna so longed for, she has now seen, and she immediately begins to share it with others who are longing as well.
Lord, may the hope that we have in your birth echo to those around us. May it ripple through every area of our lives and then into the lives of those around us and our communities. May we speak of you to all who are waiting for redemption.
Inward: Immanuel, what do you want me to know? What would it look like for hope to echo through all the parts of my life? What are some ways that I have seen you in my life and in the lives of others that bring hope?
Outward: Immanuel, what do you want me to do? How can I speak to others who are waiting? Lord, help me have the boldness to share your hope with those who are waiting.
