Mighty God: The Beauty of Mighty God
Let’s spend today looking more closely at the traits of our Mighty God as they are revealed throughout scripture.
He is beautiful in splendor (Psalm 48:1),
awesome in power (Exodus 15:11),
great in counsel (Jeremiah 32:19), and
mighty in deed (Jeremiah 32:19).
He is robed in majesty and strength (Psalm 93:1).
He longs to be gracious to you; he waits on high to show compassion (Isaiah 30:18).
He executes justice for the oppressed (Psalm 103:6).
He rewards obedience (Deuteronomy 28:1-2).
He is slow to anger and steadfast in love (Numbers 14:18).
He is our refuge and fortress; in Him we can trust (Psalm 18:1-2).
He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all good (Psalm 73).
He created everything with just a word (John 1).
His very nature is love (I John 4:8).
This mighty God has chosen to come to us – to you, to me.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.”
