Prayers of Peace for Our Community: Week 1

November 4, 2024

Theme: Peace

Focus:

May the relationship between churches and the University be one of grace and truth, and may healing take place and bridges be built.

John 16:33

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Ephesians 4:1-3

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Heavenly Father,

No matter who is elected in this season, may we never lose sight that You are on the throne.  We know that Jesus is the Prince of Peace and You desire that we have unity of the Spirit through the bonds of peace.  May our University and our churches find common ground as they seek to align with Your plans for Your creation.  May both the University and the Church serve as a guiding light for Your children against the chaos in our circumstances.  May they both bring Your Divine clarity out of a world of confusion in uncertain times.  May we all look to You and find You for the peace and hope that only You can provide.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
